Bee and Butterfly Habitat Development

A healthy and thriving ecosystem is important to the long-term sustainability of U.S. corn. To support their local ecosystems, corn growers are investing in and planting pollinator habitats on or near their croplands. NCGA works with a variety of partners to support growers who wish to establish habitat, including Pheasants Forever, the Bee and Butterfly Habitat Fund, the Honey Bee Health Coalition and the Monarch Collaborative.

Integrated Pest Management

NCGA invests in programs to support corn growers' use of integrated pest management (IPM) practices. IPM encourages the use of a wide range of tools and practices to manage on-farm pests, including weeds, crop diseases and insects. The holistic approach to management means that growers are using their inputs in the most effective and efficient manner.
