Dec. 16: The National Corn Growers Association congratulates American Ethanol spokesman Austin Dillon who announced last week that he will return to the track next season in the elite-level NASCAR™ Sprint Cup Series. Oct. 31:  American Ethanol will be front-and-center at the Texas NASCAR race this weekend as spokesman Austin Dillon closes in on a championship and ethanol supporters from three states journey to the Lone Star State to educate and interact with fans about ethanol.   Dillon is known for his signature cowboy hat, but he wouldn’t mind trading in his hat for a new one at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday. Because what else would they give you as a trophy in Texas except a cowboy hat and a boot trophy?  Dillon, who has never finished outside the Top 10 at Texas Motor Speedway in NASCAR Nationwide Series  competition, currently leads the series standings by eight points over Sam Hornish Jr. As always, he will proudly display the American Ethanol logo on the side of his car.   Corn farmers from Texas, Minnesota and North Dakota are funding the weekend-long event in part with their investment of checkoff dollars. Sept. 10: NASCAR legend Kenny Wallace will be making his 900th NASCAR start at Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday in the Dollar General 300. Joining the "900 Club", Wallace will be amongst an elite group of drivers that includes Richard Petty, Ricky Rudd, Terry Labonte, Mark Martin, Darrell Waltrip, Bobby Labonte, Jeff Burton, Dale Earnhardt and Dale Jarrett.   Wallace will be behind the wheel of the RAB Racing No. 29 ToyotaCare, American Ethanol Toyota Camry, in a special paint scheme to commemorate the NASCAR milestone. Keith Hinkein will serve as crew chief for the No. 29, making his fourth start with Wallace and RAB Racing. Aug. 13: Today, Austin Dillon unveiled a limited-time only display at the NASCAR® Hall of Fame commemorating his historic win at the inaugural Mudsummer Classic held at the Eldora Speedway on July 25.
