The American Ethanol Chevrolet will be on prominent display this weekend at Dover International Speedway as NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Austin Dillon pilots the historic No. 3 car in full American Ethanol paint. Start time is noon CDT Sunday.
American Ethanol spokesman Dillon took the pole at Dover’s Monster Mile in the NASCAR Nationwide Series last year. The 2011 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion had two starts at the same track in the Truck Series, earning his best finish of fourth place in the May 2011 event. He also finished ninth at the track in a NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race.
Dillon ranks 15th in the championship point standings entering this weekend’s event. He gained a point last weekend on Kyle Larson, who remains in 13th place as they jockey for Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors.
The American Ethanol promotions and marketing team, including corn growers from Maryland, will be engaging fans all weekend at the Biofuels Mobile Education Center, as well as hosting one of the largest fuel retailers on the east coast.
