Nov. 6: Are you a farming couple or individual interested in strengthening your communications and leadership skills to better serve your interests and the interests of the corn industry? If so, your state corn grower association would like to hear from you.
“The success of our organization, or any grassroots organization for that matter, is the ability to give motivated members opportunities to get active in a cause they believe in, and one of my top priorities is to get more members involved and active,” said NCGA President Martin Barbre. “With the assistance of DuPont, we’ve crafted a new and exciting program to tap the talent of NCGA members not currently serving as a state affiliate officer, Corn Congress delegate or alternate. If you fit this bill, are at least 21 years of age and active in corn farming, the New Leader Program may be right for you. We’re especially looking for couples to get involved together.”
Due to a late harvest, the first session of the NCGA DuPont New Leader Program, previously scheduled for November in Des Moines, has been moved to late January. Qualified corn growers interested in participating are asked to contact their state corn association before Friday, Dec. 6.
Interested couples and individuals are asked to apply via their state association. Complete and updated information on the NCGA DuPont New Leader Program is available at www.ncga.com/nlp.
