Harold Wolle

Harold Wolle, of Madelia, Minn., serves as president of the Corn Board of the National Corn Growers Association, a farmer-led trade association with offices in St. Louis and Washington.

 

Wolle has transitioned his farm to his son, Matt, who rents the tillable ground of his 1,800 acres. On this ground, Matt raises corn and soybeans. Wolle also has 200 acres enrolled in the CRP program.

 

As NCGA President, he also serves as president of the National Corn Growers Association Foundation, as an executive committee member of NCGA’s Allied Industry Council, and as the association’s delegate to the U.S. Grains Council. He is a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission Ag Advisory Committee and serves as the liaison to the Agriculture Markets Advisory Council and the Renewable Fuels Association.

 

Wolle previously served as the first vice president of NCGA, the NCGA Foundation and the Finance Committee. He also served as the Corn Board liaison to the National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Advisory Board and the Congressional Sportsman’s Caucus.

 

He has also served as the board liaison to the Risk Management and Transportation Action Team, and the National Coalition for Food and Agriculture Research. Prior to joining the Corn Board, he served on NCGA’s Risk Management Action Team and NASCAR Advisory Committee.

 

At the state level, Wolle is a past president of the Minnesota Corn Growers Association and past chairman of the Watonwan Farm Service/Central Farm Service Coop Board as well as the Corn Plus Coop Board.

 

Founded in 1957, the National Corn Growers Association represents nearly 40,000 dues-paying corn growers and the interests of more than 300,000 farmers who contribute through corn checkoff programs in their states. NCGA and its 50 affiliated state associations and checkoff organizations work together to help protect and advance corn growers’ interests.
