 Maize SEQ

Access to the Maizeseq database (the combined cDNA sequence and translated
protein data from Ceres, DuPont and Monsanto) is limited to researchers
at non-profit (academic and government) institutions who are engaged
in not-for-profit research aimed at plant improvement..
In order to obtain access
to the database, first download the User Agreement PDF below. Next
print out and complete (fill in the blanks,
and sign) the User Agreement. You should review this document with
your technology transfer and legal departments, since it is a legally
binding contract. Additionally, you will need to complete the Principle
Investigator and Project Participants’ Agreement, which is Appendix
A in the PDF document. This Principle Investigator and Project Participants’ Agreement
will need to be completed for each person within a laboratory who wishes
to access the Maizeseq data. When these documents are completed, make
a photocopy of the documents for your records and send two signed originals
to:
Genome Database
C/O National Corn Growers Association
632 Cepi Drive
Chesterfield, MO 63005
Upon receiving the document, NCGA will verify the submitting institution
is eligible to access the database, then NCGA will forward your information
to the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center and an account will be
established for each Primary Investigator (PI) and Project Participant
(PP) who has signed. A username and password for each person will be
sent to the PI and PP via email. Additionally one fully executed copy
of the User Agreement will be returned to the PI.
Please note: The PI is responsible for any data accessed, therefore
it is strongly suggested that account access be carefully controlled
and that the accounts be updated as necessary.
Any questions should be directed to maizeseq@ncga.com.
