Resolution/Position:

  1. Support research strategy to minimize the impact of mycotoxins on corn production and food safety.
  2. Support research for alternate safe uses of aflatoxin-contaminated corn and its products.
  3. Support mycotoxin standards based on sound scientific data.
  4. Support uniform standards for the sampling and testing procedures used to determine mycotoxin contamination levels.
  5. Promote biotechnology’s role in reducing mycotoxins in corn production.
  6. Support the research, development and testing of hybrids for resistance to mycotoxins.
