Growers reminded of Jan. 19 Early Registration Deadline for 2006 Commodity Classic

(ST. LOUIS) January 4, 2006 — The American Soybean Association (ASA) and the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) urge growers to take advantage of the Jan. 19 early registration deadline for the 2006 Commodity Classic in Anaheim, Calif., March 2-4. Grower members who register by Jan. 19 will save $50.

“Commodity Classic is one of the highlights of the year for NCGA, and we encourage growers to take advantage of the discounted price,” said Gene Youngquist, NCGA Commodity Classic co-chair. “We have an exciting agenda planned, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone in Anaheim.”

“There is no better place than Commodity Classic to learn about the newest developments in soybean and corn production,” said Randy DeSutter, ASA Commodity Classic co-chair. “Commodity Classic also provides an outstanding opportunity to visit with growers from around the country and talk with representatives from all the major equipment companies.”

Commodity Classic is the annual convention and trade show presented by NCGA and ASA. It brings growers together with key decision-makers in the agricultural industry and farmer leaders from around the country. Through powerful educational sessions, growers will learn from respected industry leaders about how to improve farm efficiency and profitability.

Full registration includes:

  • Trade show access as well as opening reception, lunch and coffee break
  • A provocative General Session
  • Learning Center sessions, WIN sessions and Early Riser Marketing sessions
  • NCGA or ASA banquet
  • Evening of Entertainment

The General Session will feature an exciting lineup of speakers. Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty will partake in a lively discussion on renewable fuels; Dr. Jay Lehr will discuss the truth about agriculture and the environment; and country music artist and speaker Michael Peterson will motivate the audience with a moving message about Americans’ call to duty to their country and communities.

Headlining the Evening of Entertainment is four-time Country Female Vocalist of the Year Lorrie Morgan.

Growers who miss the early registration deadline, can take advantage of a second registration period that offers a discounted price from Jan. 20-Feb.9.
