Classic, a 'Sound Opportunity' to Help Growers Increase Profitability

LOUIS (November 7, 2001) -- Soybean and corn producers will have a "sound
opportunity" to learn more about enhancing farm efficiency and profitability
at Commodity Classic, Feb. 21-23, 2002, in Nashville, Tenn. And now,
those growers can get on the bandwagon by turning in their Commodity
Classic registration forms, which are in the mail and have been posted
at www.commodityclassic.com.
This is the Seventh
Annual Convention and Trade Show presented by the American Soybean Association
(ASA) and the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA). At Commodity
Classic growers come together with key players in the agriculture sector
for information and educational sessions. The premier trade show includes
about 600 booths representing leading agricultural businesses and organizations.
ASA President Bart
Ruth, a farmer from Rising City, Neb., said, "Commodity Classic includes
a variety of information sessions on topics such as marketing, transportation
infrastructure, renewable fuels and biotechnology that will help growers
learn new ways to increase their profitability."
NCGA President Tim
Hume, a farmer from Walsh, Colo., said, "At Commodity Classic, corn
and soybean producers will see the latest in technology at the trade
show, where they'll also have the opportunity to talk with the top agribusiness
leaders and decision makers."
The general session
keynote address will be given by Dick Hardwick, a comedian and musician,
whose presentation is sure to contain ample amounts of humor to entertain
everyone. The Commodity Classic "evening of entertainment" will feature
singer and performer Louise Mandrell, whose talent, personality and
boundless energy make for an exciting show. The opening act will be
a performance by Riders In The Sky.
