NCGA Conference Will Look at Enzyme Technology for Optimized Ethanol Production (4-18-08)

An enzymes learning session is planned for this summer’s 2008 Corn Utilization and Technology Conference (CUTC) in Kansas City, Mo. Experts will give an overview of enzyme technologies to optimize current ethanol production and advances in future ethanol technologies.

“Enzyme catalysts are key to improving the economics and portfolio of feedstocks for both current and future ethanol production,” said session chairman Martha Schlicher, vice president of technology and business development at GTL Resources USA Inc.

Panelists will include Cam Fowler, Novozymes North America Inc.; Tuan-hua David Ho, Washington University; and Elizabeth E. Hood, Arkansas State University.
