More than half of all NCYC winners were on hand Friday morning for recognition by NCGA.

NCGA Honors Corn Yield Champions (3-2-07)

Some of the nation’s leading corn growers were honored Friday morning, as the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) held its annual National Corn Yield Contest (NCYC) breakfast at the Commodity Classic in Tampa, Fla.

More than 275 state award winners were on hand to be recognized for their agronomic practices resulting in higher yields. Also honored were leading agribusinesses who encouraged their customers to enroll in the NCYC. They included Pioneer, a DuPont Company; DeKalb; Asgrow; Garst Seed Company; Great Lakes Seed; and NK Brand seeds.

Each winner was honored with a trophy and photo. See a complete list of all winners and yield information in the National Corn Yield Contest 2006 Winners Guide.

The NCYC and the awards breakfast are sponsored by BASF, Bayer Crop Science and John Deere.
