NCGA Announces CUTC Registration Now Available Online
Conference Expanded to Include More Corn Processing Interests
(9-1-05)
The Corn Utilization
Technology Conference (CUTC), hosted by the National Corn Growers
Association (NCGA), is now accepting online registration for its June
5-7, 2006, event in Dallas.
The conference,
held every other year, showcases some of corn’s alternative
uses, such as ethanol. And for 2006, NCGA is pleased to announce the
conference has been expanded to include wet and dry grind processing
technologies, value-added products from corn, and new applications
for dried distillers grains.
“We’re
looking forward to a record-breaking attendance,” said Dr. Richard
Glass, NCGA vice president and business development. “Now that
we’ve expanded the scope of the conference, we expect to attract
a significant number of attendees and exhibitors who have never attended
before.”
People interested
in attending the conference can visit www.corntechconf.org
and click on the “Register” link on the left side of the
Web page. The Web site also contains a summary of the event and a
schedule of conference presentations and speakers.
The first 100
registrants will be eligible for a drawing for a one gigabyte flash
drive, and made-from-corn travel mugs will be given to every attendee.
Glass is encouraging
state corn growers associations to sponsor the event. So far, Texas
is the only state to sign on as a sponsor. Indiana and Michigan were
the only two states to sponsor the 2004 conference in Indianapolis.
“This is
the premier technology conference on corn products,” Glass said.
“It’s a great opportunity for the states to support the
value-added aspects of our industry.”
