NCGA Produces 'Ethanol:
Fact vs. Fiction' Brochure
(11-4-05)
The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) has produced an easy-to-use
'Ethanol: Fact vs. Fiction' brochure for consumers to learn the
truth about the benefits of ethanol.
The brochure lists seven common myths about ethanol and provides extensive
facts to counter the false claims. The brochure has information on ethanol’s
impact on gasoline prices, environmental impact, effects on a car’s
engine and benefits to farmers.
“More than 30 percent of all gasoline in the United States is
blended with ethanol, and billions of hassle-free miles have been driven
on these fuels,” said Geoff Cooper, NCGA director of commercial
development. “Yet, a good percentage of the driving public still
isn’t familiar with ethanol and numerous myths are still floating
around. The intent of this brochure is to provide consumers with the
facts to refute those common myths.”
The brochures will be made available to NCGA members and affiliated
state associations.
The brochure is also available for download by clicking here.
