WRMLM Receives Award
for “Outstanding Educational
Material” (12-02-05)
The National Corn Growers Association’s (NCGA) Weed Resistance
Management Learning Module (WRMLM) received a Certificate of Excellence
Award from the American Society of Agronomy for the educational benefits
WRMLM provides.
The certificate, awarded to Brent Brueland of Adayana’s Agricultural
Solutions Team that designed the program, recognizes “the development
of outstanding educational materials in the category of Computer Software.”
NCGA’s WRMLM is an online, interactive Web application that provides
growers, media, seed dealers and the general public to gain more information
on managing weed resistance.
“This is great recognition for the Weed Resistance Management
program,” said Nathan Fields, NCGA director of research and business
development. “NCGA’s work with Brent Brueland and Adayana
has been a mutually beneficial relationship in producing learning materials
for corn growers.”
In addition to the WRMLM, Adayana also produced NCGA’s Insect
Resistance Management tool. The WRMLM has been on NCGA’s Web site
since April. It is supported through checkoff dollars and industry support.
