NCGA Accepting Action Team and Committee Applications for FY 2006

Applications for the National Corn Growers Association
(NCGA) Action Teams and Committees for FY 2006 are due on Friday,
Sept. 2.
Positions are open on the following committees:
* Biotechnology Working Group
* Ethanol Committee
* Grower Services Action Team
* Joint Trade Policy A-Team
* Production and Stewardship Action Team
* Public Policy Action Team
* Research and Business Development Action Team
Growers who are NCGA members were mailed information
and applications in July. Growers who would like an application are
asked to contact NCGA Executive Assistant Kathy Baker at 636-733-9004.
Applications are also available on the Leader Resource Center at www.insidencga.com,
on the Corn Board page under “What's New.”
Being a member of an action team or committee is a
rewarding experience, says Gerald Tumbleson, NCGA first vice president.
“The action
teams and committees are a terrific part of our organization,”
said Tumbleson, who will appoint Action Teams when he assumes the
role of president on Oct. 1. “Our mission is ‘To create
opportunities for corn growers,’ and that’s what the teams
and committees strive to accomplish. The more involved growers become,
the better representation we have, and we’re able to create
more opportunities for our membership.”
