the perfect opportunity for corn growers and their families

of Corn” photo contest. |
NCGA
Photo Contest Postmark Deadline is Nov. 1 (10-28-04)
They say a picture is
worth a 1,000 words. But in the case of the National Corn Growers
Association (NCGA) “Gallery of
Corn” photo contest, your favorite picture of corn might
also be worth $500.
With the Nov. 1 contest deadline just around the corner, shutterbugs
are encouraged to mail their favorite corn photos to NCGA immediately.
“We’re receiving lots of great photos and this is
shaping up to be quite a contest,” said NCGA Communications
Director Mimi Ricketts. “But there’s still time to
mail in your best corn photos and take a shot at one of the cash
prizes.”
The grand prize winner in the contest, which is open to NCGA members,
state associations, checkoff boards and their families, will be
awarded $500, while first-, second- and third-place winners in
each of seven categories will also win cash prizes.
The categories include
planting, growing, harvesting, families on the farm, livestock,
scenic and miscellaneous. Winning photos
will be announced in December and displayed at Commodity Classic,
the combined convention and trade show of NCGA and the American
Soybean Association, Feb. 24–26, 2005, in Austin, Texas.
Entry forms and
contest rules are available at state association offices and by
download at www.ncga.com. For more information, call (636) 733-9004.
