Joins NCGA as Director of Commercialization and Business Development

The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) today welcomes John
Caupert to its staff as Director of Commercialization and Business
Development.
Caupert will oversee the association’s efforts on ethanol,
increasing markets for dried distillers grains with solubles,
and commercialization of research and development projects.
“John’s agricultural background and industrial experience
in the grain and commodity markets will bring value to our growers
as he seeks to identify those partners with whom we may commercialize
our technological achievements,” said Dr. Richard Glass,
NCGA vice president of research and business development.
Prior to joining NCGA, Caupert worked for Romer Labs, where he
was an area manager for the U.S. business unit responsible for
domestic and international market analysis, evaluation and development.
At Romer Labs, Caupert was instrumental in introducing a wide range
of products and services for the detection and identification of
mycotoxins found in commodities.
Additionally, he held the position of marketing manager for Commodity
Specialists Co., where he was responsible for managing the purchase,
sale and distribution of brewery residual grains.
Caupert has a Masters of Science degree in agriculture economics
from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and a Bachelor
of Science degree in agriculture economics.
