NCGA,
AgriStar Renew High-Speed, Two-Way Satellite Internet Program for
Members
(10-04-04)
The National Corn Growers
Association (NCGA) and AgriStar Global Networks have announced
the renewal of a major program to provide high-speed, two-way satellite
Internet connectivity to all current and new NCGA members at substantial
discounts through AgriStar’s
satellite-based communications service for agriculture.
“We’re glad to renew this agreement and provide an
avenue for our members to stay more informed about key legislative
issues, as well as agricultural news that affects them,” said
Dave Boettger, chairman of the NCGA Grower Services Action Team.
According
to the agreement, current and new NCGA members who sign up for
a one-year association membership will qualify for special pricing
on the AgriStar Powered by Direcway equipment and monthly services.
Members can save $75 off AgriStar’s best introductory
price discounts by signing up by March 31, 2005.
“In addition
to receiving an additional $75 off AgriStar’s
lowest prices for initial equipment, growers will also receive
two free months of service on a prepaid contract – for
a total savings of $194.90,” said Boettger. “Pricing
plans vary depending on the number of intended users to be
connected to the satellite system.”
