NCGA Kicks Off Photo Contest, Encourages Member Participation (6-9-04)
The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) invites its members, their families, affiliated state organization members and employees to showcase the nation’s top crop through the NCGA “Gallery of Corn” Photo Contest. A grand prize of $500 will be awarded as well as cash prizes in each category.
Entrants may submit photos in the following categories:
• Planting
• Growing
• Harvesting
• Livestock
• Families on the Farm
• Scenic
• Miscellaneous
"We encourage all members to send in their favorite corn photos or to pick up their cameras and capture the beauty of America’s greatest crop,” said Mark Garber, chair of NCGA’s Production and Stewardship Action Team.
Deadline for entries is November 1. Winners will be announced in December. All winning photographs will be displayed at Corn Congress at the 2005 Commodity Classic in Austin, Texas.
