Registering for the 2005 Commodity Classic, the nation’s premier agriculture convention and trade show, is now more convenient than ever. Simply log on to www.commodityclassic.com to download a registration form for the annual event sponsored by the National Corn Growers Association and American Soybean Association.

Commodity Classic will be held Feb. 24 – 26 in Austin, Texas, and is expected to be one of the largest agricultural gatherings of the year. This year’s event features a cutting-edge trade show, stimulating learning center sessions and an exciting general session focusing on “Growing America’s Future.”

Noted ag commentator John Phipps will moderate the general session panel, which includes Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore; agriculture biotechnology expert Sano Shimoda; and Lynn Jensen, U.S. Department of Agriculture’s rural development director for South Dakota. The panel will explore a variety of topics, including the promise of biotechnology, combating negative consumer attitudes toward technology and farming, redefining U.S. agriculture’s role to improve the economic and social well-being of Americans, and strategies for moving rural America forward.

Motivational speaker and Olympic skier Vince Poscente will be the closing speaker at the general session. Poscente, an energetic, engaging “peak performance strategist,” was recently inducted into the Speaker Hall of Fame. He will provide a series of proven performance strategies.

Another highlight of Commodity Classic will be the “Evening of Entertainment” featuring the well-known and award-winning country music group Restless Heart. The group, which produced numerous hits on the country charts and had crossover success on adult contemporary radio, was one of the premier country acts of the late 1980s and early 90s.
