Cal
Dalton has served in many leadership capacities and believes communication
skills and knowledge-based decision-making are his strongest attributes.
In his bid for re-election to the National Corn Growers Association
(NCGA) Corn Board, Dalton said he would like to help other corn growers
to develop economical, political and educational opportunities for
themselves and their farming operations.
Dalton's personal
expectations for a board member include being a leader and a person
with a vision for the future who will work diligently on current issues
while holding to the historical values of NCGA. He has said board
members should conduct themselves professionally and be able to communicate
the philosophy of the NCGA to fellow corn growers and to the public.
Dalton sees
the NCGA as a dynamic organization that has developed the synergy
of its leader/members into a premier farm organization. He said NCGA
has a strong political influence nationally and locally, representing
the interests of the nation's corn farmers.
