NCGA
to Hosts Recruiter Tune-up Training (10-24-01)
Just like tuning
up a combine or a tractor before its peak use, the National Corn Growers
Association (NCGA) is tuning its recruiters up for their peak work during
the 2002 membership drive. NCGA, along with Syngenta Seeds and Syngenta
Crop Protection, will host an Association Membership Recruitment Meeting
Nov.29 - 30, 2001 in St. Louis, at what hotel?
The two-day meeting
will be full of information to help prepare recruiters tuned-up to meet
the needs of both new and existing members, said Byron Keelin, NCGA
Membership Services Manager.
"At this meeting,
recruiters will learn techniques and tips to help increase membership
and member participation in recruitment programs," he said. "In
addition, an established recruitment expert will be on hand to provide
guests with the latest marketing techniques and how to build a successful
membership-marketing plan.
"Also to be
discussed at this meeting is the new Association Membership Recruitment
Plan," Keelin continued. "Several changes have been made to
encourage participation by all members and to encourage state recruiters
to design programs to meet their association's goals."
Keelin emphasized
state associations are encouraged to send at least one representative
to this informative meeting. "If you cannot personally attend we
encourage you to have a grower who shares the same desire to increase
membership as you do," he said.
The registration
for the event must be returned to NCGA by Monday, October 29, 2001.
For information about registration or the agenda, contact Keelin at
