NCGA
Explains Strength of Organization to International Visitors (7-09-01)
The National Corn
Growers Association (NCGA) not only represents the nations corn growers
domestically and internationally, too. In the last few months, NCGA
grower-leaders have traveled to Thailand and Europe and the organization
has hosted visitors from over 30 countries at it St. Louis headquarters.
.
The most recent
visit was from Ms. Lenny Rosales, who is the assistant to the International
Relations Director in the Ministry of Production and Commerce, Caracas,
Venezuela. Rosales works with issues regarding agriculture and the world
economy. She has experience working on bilateral U.S.-Venezuela agricultural
technical transfer programs.
The focus of her
interest and her visit was in the strength of the organization of NCGA
and the state corn grower associations, said NCGA Communications Director
Stewart Reeve. "We shared a lot of information. She was very interested
in the efficiency in which the state organizations and NCGA works and
how, while the state organizations are separate entities from the NCGA,
they work together to benefit corn growers."
