For the third year in a row, Texas Corn Producers is teaming up with American Ethanol at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. On November 6 through 8, American Ethanol will be top of mind with NASCAR fans coming to watch a full weekend of high-powered racing.
“This event mixes education, promotion and good, old fashioned fun for fans,” said Jon Holzfaster, Chairman of the National Corn Growers Association’s NASCAR Advisory Committee and a farmer from Paxton, Neb. “Texas Speedway puts on one of the largest races of its kind in the nation, and Texas Corn Producers play a key role in making sure American Ethanol has exposure to match.”
Fans will have multiple opportunities to engage with American Ethanol over the weekend. It all starts with a campground promotion for fans, a large midway exhibit just outside the track and sponsorship of the Loud and Proud pre-race concert featuring Sammy Hagar and the Circle.
“This is a great team effort. We are getting a lot of support for this event and we have farmers from Nebraska and North Dakota and state staff from Missouri coming to help,” said Scott Averhoff, Texas Corn Producers Chairman of Waxahachie, TX. “By pulling together we are reaching an audience that is generations removed from the farm and reminding them of the importance of the products and jobs coming from family farms."
As always, every car racing at the speedway in the Camping World Truck Series, Xfinity and the AAA Texas 500 Sprint Cup Race will be running on Sunoco Green E15.
The entire race weekend is packed with American Ethanol promotion. Additionally, it offers the opportunity to visit with race fans about Texas agriculture and dispel myths about food, fuel and feed from corn. With a Biofuels Mobile Education Center, getting up close and personal to the #3 American Ethanol Sprint Cup car and volunteers distributing green starter flags and other items in the campgrounds, NASCAR fans engage in conversations with volunteers about ethanol and corn production.
