Learn About Farm Safety
Take time this harvest season to discuss safety with all the family. The information below should help.
Grain Bin Safety
The National Corn Growers Association and the National Grain and Feed Foundation – the research and education arm of the National Grain and Feed Association have produced a video promoting awareness about grain bin safety on the farm. The two organizations teamed up to develop the video in response to an increase in U.S. fatalities and injuries associated with entry into grain bins.
The video, shot on location in several states, provides a wide range of information from prevention tips and background data on grain bin accidents. The project also involved interviews with professionals in the fields of grain bin safety research and rescue to provide as much information to viewers as possible.

Safety Week, Sept. 16-22
Each year since 1944, the third week of September has been recognized as National Farm Safety & Health Week. This recognition has been an annual promotion initiated by the National Safety Council and has been proclaimed as such by each sitting U.S. President since Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the first document. Click here for more information.
