Public Policy

Passage of a Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS) is our number one priority in 2003. The Rally for the Renewable Fuels Standard is designed to build grassroots support, share factual information and re-enthuse the coalition that supports the RFS. Attendees at the rally in Washington, D.C., will hear the most up-to-date facts on the RFS, including who it is important to and why; why we need it now; who supports it and why; how the RFS is a key component of future agriculture policy.

The 2-day Rally for the Renewable Fuels Standard will be held March 18-19, 2003 at the National Press Club, 529 14th St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20045; Tel: 202/662-7500. The Rally begins at 1:30 p.m. on March 18 and ends at 5:00 p.m. that day. The Rally resumes at 8:00 a.m. on March 19 and ends at 11:00 a.m. (the Rally will wrap up with visits to Capitol Hill following the 11:00am adjournment). Plans are being made for a reception on the evening of March 18, following that day’s meeting.
