History – Grower Services Action Team
Grower
Services Action Team encompasses several NCGA programs, including
efforts to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information
on news and events affecting agriculture, building membership,
grower leader development and providing quality services to NCGA
members. The separate membership, leadership and communication
functions of the association were combined to form the Grower
Services Action Team in 1998 to more effectively and efficiently
meet member needs.
Communications
In 2001, NCGA made a concerted effort to increase news and events
affecting its membership. Part of this effort included upgrading
the NCGA web site www.ncga.com, increasing its news output and
producing publications promoting NCGA programs.
As
a result of this effort, NCGA has increased its news output by
400 percent through its redesigned web site. NCGA has also provided
many online services for growers to receive up-to-date information
on what is happening around the United States. These services
include:
