Issues History – Grower Services Action Team

Grower Services Action Team encompasses several NCGA programs, including efforts to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information on news and events affecting agriculture, building membership, grower leader development and providing quality services to NCGA members. The separate membership, leadership and communication functions of the association were combined to form the Grower Services Action Team in 1998 to more effectively and efficiently meet member needs.

Communications
In 2001, NCGA made a concerted effort to increase news and events affecting its membership. Part of this effort included upgrading the NCGA web site www.ncga.com, increasing its news output and producing publications promoting NCGA programs.

As a result of this effort, NCGA has increased its news output by 400 percent through its redesigned web site. NCGA has also provided many online services for growers to receive up-to-date information on what is happening around the United States. These services include:

Key Issues Section – Learn about the issues NCGA is addressing for you
Legislative Action Center – Send letters to your Representative or Senator about an issue affecting you, such as RFS.
DTN News – Stay tuned in to what happening on the markets on a national and local level.
Weather – Need to know if it’s going to rain today? Check the weather map in your area.
State Roundup Section –
Find out what’s going in your state or other states around the country.
Join NCGA – Sign up now or recruit your next-door neighbor. Just click on JOIN NCGA and pay by check or credit card online.
U.S. Grains Council – Stay informed about what the U.S. Grains Council is doing to promote corn in foreign markets
