INDUSTRY PARTNERS

Agribusiness has always extended a helping hand to NCGA, but the Supporting Member Program, now called the Industry Partners Program, was not officially organized until the 1980s.

Industry Partners provide services, materials and financial backing for multiple NCGA activities, including Commodity Classic, the National Corn Yield Contest, leadership development, educational programs, publications and special promotions. In 1998, 60 companies were listed as NCGA Industry Partners.

One of the most valuable benefits of the Industry Partners program, however, is the interaction it provides between the industry’s grower and corporate leaders. Mutually beneficial to both parties, this interaction allows both growers and industry to better understand the challenges facing the other and provides a forum to work together in creating the most mutually beneficial outcomes.
