HOW TO USE THE INPUT TABLES

First select the scenario under which you will market or use the high oil grain. The choices are:

Then enter numbers into the tables on your screen -- each cell has units shown as a guide, and additional information may be obtained by clicking on the cell title.

When you click on the button, your inputs are entered into a model that calculates the average returns for the values that you provided. The results will be shown on your screen in the form of a chart. The chart has yield levels on the horizontal axis and net returns ($ per acre) on the vertical axis -- this is the net extra return from growing high oil corn compared to regular yellow corn, for the particular set of inputs you used.

Try out different input values based on your expectations or knowledge of various situations.
